GMAIL - out of space

I thought one rarely is in this situation i.e running out of space in gmail. I was not getting any emails since 2 days. Since I don't usually sign out of account it didn't display any warning message. I tried to sign out and login to see the message that 'I ran out of space'!

I was working on a project which needs credit card transaction processing. I had this problem with the Verisign Payflow Pro: "Failed merchant rule check". Google ain't much helpful to solve the problem. Here is what you got to do:
Go to https://manager.paypal.com
Sign in with ur Verisign credentials. Don't panic but paypal and verisign are working together like brothers.
Once you logged in, you can see a neat interface to administer ur account.
Click on 'Account Administration'
Click on 'Transaction Settings' and the set the settings as follows to solve the above problem.

Maximum Amount per Transaction - blank
Maximum Amount for Credits - blank
Allow Non-referenced Credits - YES
Credits may exceed original transaction amount - YES
Allow reference transactions – NO

Sql Server DTS Truncates Text While Exporting: Fix

When you use the Data Transformation Services (DTS) Export/Import wizard, DTS may truncate column strings that are over 255 characters long if all of the following conditions exist:

•	The column is a character data type (varchar, char, nvarchar, nchar) and the column length is greater than 255 characters.
•	DTS exports the column to a text file.
•	Delimited fields are used for exporting.

WORKAROUND

Here are several methods that you can use to work around this problem:

Use fixed fields and export to a text file with the DTS Wizard or Package Designer. Both the DTS Export/Import Wizard and the DTS Package Designer provide the option to use fixed fields when you export data to a text file.

To use the DTS Export/Import wizard, you will see the following prompt when you choose the destination text file:

You want to select Fixed field - information is assigned into columns of equal width.

Digging more here is a quick info about the updates..
Yahoo mail now provides 3 different views viz..

Message View: Shows short snippets of the mail content by default and it shows the snippet containing the terms provided you searched for those terms.

Photos View: I really liked this feature which shows all of the pictures in your inbox and easy way to search them. I myself was surprised to see that my inbox had 903images :O ....

Attachment View: This shows the attachments. Looks very similar to the Photos views.

Also there is an easy way to filter the results and the views on the left side column.

Keeping the Yahoo Mail Web 2.0 in Beta and working on the classic version is weird and does it mean the new version going to be in Beta for long time from now...!
I checked my other yahoo account which I tweaked using the yahoo.uk domain to use the web 2.0 version and couldnt find any search updates.

Yahoo should hurry up and atleast provide Beta to all instead of making people to wait and wait and start using Gmail.

Heres is the solution if see the error something like:

In your update sql statement dont set the primary key and index/clustered key values
and also i guess the ntext or image fields.... and that shud fix this silly problem which I know is annoying.

Let me share a funny incident:

I have broad-band internet connection provided by the famous COMCAST service provider. So, one evening I observed my net was working slow. I ping any site and 3 out of 4 packets are lost. I rebooted the router but the problem still persist.

So I had to resort to call the COMCAST customer care center for some help. It may not sound funny enough as my English and presentations skills are bad. :(! Here's the funny situation.

He: (I dont remember but he still was on his own asking me about what is my OS)
Me: Ok, you can think its windows XP.
He: What do u mean by think! tell me exactly what OS.
Me: (Gosh! ...so I told) ok its windows XP only.
He: Reboot the computer.
Me: I use wireless router so no system is connected directly to the cable. So no point in rebooting the machine.
He: You have to reboot the machine sir!
Me: OK! I am rebooting. ( Infact i was lying coz it wont make any sense)
Me: ( Within a few seconds ) ok its done rebooting.
He: So quick!
Me: Ya, mine is an advanced system. :D
He: reboot the router!
and so on!!!
finally, surprisingly my net started working fine.

.
(So even if u r using wireless internet and if ur net is slow just reboot your system.
hehe!)

Me: I was not lying, please google for windows 2003 server and you should know.
He: Ok!

Thats how it ended. I dont have any qualms on anyone but its just a funny incident.

PS: The above is what I vaguely remember and its not exact conversation we had. And I have no complains on either the person I talked with or Comcast.

To get Yahoo Mail Beta, just switch your content preference to Germany, France or UK. Then you will be asked if you want to join the beta when you log into your Yahoo Mail. Say yes, and join the beta. Then from the options menu, change your content preference what it was before. Then go to Yahoo Mail again. You should see Yahoo Beta. If you don't see it, go to options and click "Try Beta" button. That's all.

How to change your content preference:

* log in to Yahoo Mail
* click Options
* select Account information from the left panel
* go to Member Information, General Preferences, Preferred Content
* select, for example, Yahoo UK
* click Finished
* go to Yahoo Mail
* you'll see a page that says "It's the New Yahoo! Mail Beta... and you're invited."

A Simple CSS Image preloading technique

So you need to pre-load images, but don’t want to deal with javascript or complicated workarounds. What do you do? The solution is simple. All we need to do is designate a CSS style with multiple background-images. As your browser reads the style, it will load each image you designate in succession, thus pre-loading your images. Below is an example of the CSS:

Xtending the innerTEXT cross-browser funcationality

I had this problem... since IE browser already supports innerText property when
I add the innerText as the prototype method as mentioned in my prev. post it creates
problem.
So to get around this issue... v need to check if the browser is IE or not and then
apply the java script EVAL method on the prototype accordingly...otherwise it sux...
